Heat Treatment
We have dedicated muffle furnaces for the heat treatment of test specimens to establish simulated high temperature service effects on microstructure and physical properties. We are able to perform heat treatments at temperatures up to 1100oCand testing can be automatically cycled depending on the particular testing requirements.
We typically provide the following heat treatment services:
- Ageing treatments
- Quench and tempering
- Stress relieving
- Annealing
We can provide a range of post heat treatment testing services to establish the effects of the treatment on the test pieces. Such testing could include assessment of mechanical properties and the examination of heat treated microstructures.
